Final Logo Designs (Kind of)

So here are the final logos that I came up with (the first is the one I settled on, and the second is just something I experimented with). Anyways, seeing how critique went, it looks like I still need some work. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I think that in all of your designs that you have proposed that the ones without the dialogue box work the best. I think that the on in class that you proposed was great. As a suggestion to try, maybe simplify the logo to only the necesary information needed to explain the ambiance of your company. Just because science is such a complex subject doesnt mean that you need to try to encompass all of that in your company logo. Somehow make the logo really significant to who your company is. I think that the direction you are headed is pretty obvious, with your inspiratinos and your roughs from earlier that have color and style. Maybe try adding color to the logo to try and make it pop. The o in discovery might be an interesting place for it, the arrows might allow you somewhere to work with color too... good luck and have a good spring break!

  2. I definitely prefer your two right hand images to the left ones with boxes. Eliminating the box leads to the thought of science outside the box and new experiments without restraint. (I think) this seems to be more the direction you're going for. I don't think you need a colorful logo/symbol as long as your color palate is really vibrant. The openness of all your logos lend themselves to be immersed in color and/or surrounded by it. I am definitely picturing the use of blue but I'm sure there a quite a few more colors that could work well also.
